Name: Body Flicker Technique (瞬身の術, Shunshin no Jutsu; English TV "Teleportation Jutsu")

What it does:This jutsu is a high-speed movement technique, allowing a ninja to move short to long distances at an almost untraceable speed. To an observer, it appears as if the user has teleported. A puff of smoke is occasionally used to disguise the user's movements. It is accomplished by using chakra to temporarily vitalise the body and move at extreme speeds. The amount of chakra required depends on the overall distance and elevation between the user and their intended destination. Shisui Uchiha was feared as "Shisui of the Body Flicker" (瞬身のシスイ, Shunshin no Shisui), likely referring to this technique.

The Body Flicker Technique has various variations among the different hidden villages, all of which involve some extra element aside from the movement itself. The extra element is usually some sort of substance used to distract the opponent, such as leaves or sand. Gaara, for instance, uses the Sand Body Flicker (砂瞬身, Suna-Shunshin), which uses sand to cover his movements. Other varieties include the Mist Body Flicker (霧瞬身, Kiri-Shunshin), Water Body Flicker (水瞬身, Mizu-Shunshin), and Leaf Body Flicker (木ノ葉瞬身, Konoha-Shunshin).

Name: Body Replacement Technique (変わり身の術, Kawarimi no Jutsu; English TV "Substitution Jutsu" or "Replacement Jutsu")

What it does:This jutsu lets the user quickly switch places with another nearby object, such as a plant (normally a section of a log), an animal, or even another person within reach, leaving the opponent open to a counter-attack. Exploding tags can be attached to the replacement for an added surprise. Fundamentally, all ninja know this technique.

The anime has a number of other objects being used for this jutsu, such as a boulder, mud, a scarecrow, and even a large rolled-up carpet. These items are usually nowhere in sight, suggesting that they are merely gags meant to lighten up the situation and not an actual part of the jutsu. Additionally, the normal practice of switching places with a section of log is done in several places that have no such thing anywhere nearby.

Name: Clone Technique (分身の術, Bunshin no Jutsu; Viz "Art of the Doppleganger", English TV "Clone Jutsu", UK DVD "Art of Body Splitting")

What it does:This technique creates intangible copies of the user. The clones are simply illusions and will dissipate when they come into contact with something. The illusions can be seen through by the Byakugan and the Sharingan. A person with normal eyes can also distinguish the clones from the original, since the clones will not disrupt the area around themselves with their movement (won't kick up dust, crush grass, etc.).

Name: Clone Great Explosion (分身大爆破, Bunshin Daibakuha; Viz "Clone Jutsu Super Explosion", English TV "Shadow Clone Explosion")

What it does:This jutsu works in combination with the Shadow Clone Technique to create a shadow clone that will explode on command. The blast created is considerable, and could potentially kill an attacker engaged in hand-to-hand combat.

Name: Crystal Armor (Kesshō no Yoroi)

What it does:This jutsu allows the user to become encased in a thin sheet of crystal to protect them from blunt force trauma. This armor can also aid the user in performing stronger physical attacks. The crystal is transparent and can only be noticed by light reflecting off it.

Name: Crystal Release: Tearing Crystal Falling Dragon (晶遁・破晶降龍, Shōton: Hashō Kōryū)

The user crystallizes a material in the area, and then turns it into a dragon. It can be used as a means to travel or to attack a target. Several dragons can also be made and manipulated at once.

Name: Crystal Release: Jade Crystal Wall Eighth Formation (晶遁・翠晶壁八の陣, Shōton: Suishōheki Hachi no Jin)

This jutsu will crystallize a large area and everything within it. while the crystal is strong it is breakable

Name: Crystal Release: Shuriken Wild Dance (晶遁・手裏剣乱舞, Shōton: Shuriken Ranbu)

The user surrounds them self in crystal particles and then condenses them all into numerous shuriken which are then launched at the opponent

Name: Dance of the Crescent Moon (三日月の舞, Konoha Ryū: Mikazuki no Mai; English TV Crescent Moon Dance")

The user creates three shadow clones that attack along with the user in a complicated sword-dancing pattern to confuse the opponent. often the users move at such high speeds they can only use one sword to attack with one katana but Tsuna can attack with two causing six simultaneous attacks

Name: Earth Clone Technique (土分身の術, Tsuchi Bunshin no Jutsu)

This technique creates a clone made of mud of the user. Since its made of mud, it can continue to reform and mold itself back to its original shape.

Name: Earth Release: Double Suicide Decapitation Technique (土遁・心中斬首の術, Doton: Shinjū Zanshu no Jutsu; Viz "Earth Style: Groundhog Technique Decapitation", English TV "Earth Style: Headhunter Jutsu")

The user, emerging from the ground below the target area, pulls down the opponent so that only their head is above ground. Unable to move, the opponent can easily be decapitated or tortured.

This jutsu will cause the earth in the surrounding area to rise up and over a target and create a cavern, imprisoning the target.

When used with Earth Release: Earth Flow River, this jutsu can create a dragon-like head to fire concentrated mud at an opponent. This can also be combined with a fire jutsu to shoot lava toward an opponent.

By flowing one's chakra into the Dragon Veins (龍脈, Ryūmyaku) flowing underground, one can tear the earth apart, creating large chasms. The length, width, direction, and curve of the chasm are all up to the user. Manipulating the Dragon Veins requires fine chakra control, but if one has such skill, they can use this technique to divide the space between the enemy and their own team in two, destroy enemy camps or defenses, and even to attack.

Name: Earth Release: Hidden Among Rocks Technique (Doton: Iwagakure no Jutsu; English "Earth Style: Hidden in Stones Jutsu")

This technique is similar to the Leech All Creation: Attack Prevention Technique. It allows the user to become invisible and then move in and out of rock. This jutsu can be used to avoid earth techniques, such as the Earth Release: Bedrock Coffin.
